Geek Without A Cause
Geek Without a Cause has been my little pet project for a short while and I hope will be the continuation of my work for years to come. It allows my professional side to distance itself from my personal side, something I was battling with in previous versions of my website.
Concept
This is the earliest concept I could find of the GWOC project. As you can see, it's not very refined, but there are some elements that I liked, and that I adopted in later designs.
First Version
I deployed the site with a dark theme, but quickly grew tired of the design before I completely finished it. Instead, I abandoned it, leaving the project ultimately unsuccessful at that point. With college and other work, I did not have time to finish it.
Second Version
With renewed interest and some skills underneath my belt, I've revitalized the project. I have applied this new design to my portfolio, and I plan to deploy it to the rest of the site at some point.
Possible Third Version - 1
... or maybe not. I haven't been feeling the love on the second version, so I created a mockup in my spare time of something completely different and weird for me. Perhaps it's good. Perhaps it isn't.
Possible Third Version - 2
Not a big fan of that last one, actually. I had a brainstorm, and the child of this brainstorm is this mockup. I'd be focusing the site around random ideas I had, which seems to be the only thing worthwhile I have to talk about.
